Description:JOB TITLE: SANDBLAST/POWDER COAT GENERAL LABORERJOB SUMMARYDiamondback America is currently seeking a motivated and talented individual for our Sandblast/Powder Coat General Laborer position. We are looking for a highly driven individual to be responsible for completing and managing all aspects of blasting various parts finished by CNC machines. Including deburring, cleaning, and maintaining quality of final products.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS2 years' experience operating machinery1 years’ experience in manufacturing, industrial machine shop, or related work environmentPREFERRED SKILLS:Ability to read and follow written instructions and comprehend part printsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work on a team or independently, provide help/assistance to othersCORE DUTIESResponsible for shoveling or pouring sand, grit, or other abrasive material into the machine, and monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopperAssist in preparation work for powder coat process such as etching, rinsing, and sandingPrepare surfaces for the abrading action, protects specific areas of the work surface using masking film, tape, and rubberLifting, carrying, and setting up heavy equipment and parts onto racks, into tumbling barrels, or into cabinetsPreparing parts for the paint shop, steam cleaning motors and chassis, and other general labor may be included in the sandblaster’s job dutiesMaintain equipment and work areas are clean and orderly, and that any unsafe working conditions are corrected or reported immediatelyMaintenance of the sandblasting equipment, such as cleaning and changing nozzlesHOURS1st shift positionMonday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Friday- overtime as needed SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSCandidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
