- Bilingual in English & Spanish (required)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent with clients
- Resilient under pressure and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines
- Passionate about immigration and making a difference
- Experienced in immigration law (preferably in removal defense)
- Confident with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (intermediate level)
What You'll Do
- Use case management systems to manage and update client data
- Assist in preparing legal documents including briefs, motions, and filings for EOIR, USCIS, and federal court with attorney supervision.
- Manage complex cases and maintain deadlines with precision
- Coordinate with clients to gather documents, provide updates, and schedule appointments
- Research procedures related to immigration issues
- Communicate with government agencies including USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and federal courts
- Communicate with clients (and potential clients!) in person, over the phone, and via email
- Support attorney with administrative and legal tasks
- Mail correspondence, manage timelines, and help keep the team on track
- Go on runs to obtain court records or to detention centers as needed
- Jump in on other projects when needed-we're all in this together!
