Role Description
This is a full-time Associate Principal Engineer (eMEP), requiring regular access to the Arvada, Colorado area. This role leads the production side of the company and is ideal for an engineer who wants to take ownership and make a real impact.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures
- Oversee resources, timelines, budgets, and client requests
- Perform engineering work from energy modeling and design to writing commissioning plans
- Handle engineering projects from start to finish while knowing when and how to delegate tasks to team members or subcontractors
- Build strong client relationships and maintain high standards of project management and delivery
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Colorado.
- Proficiency in energy, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (eMEP) engineering design and integration.
- Experience with building systems such as HVAC, radiant heating/cooling, and building control systems
- Knowledge of energy modeling tools, ASHRAE standards, LEED consulting, and Net Zero or Passive House design principles.
- Strong project management, collaboration, and client communication skills.
- Proven ability to be self-sufficient, resourceful, and confident in making decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with sustainable building certifications and advanced energy technologies is a plus.
