Shuttle Driver

RJ Davis is NOW hiring Experienced CDL-A Shuttle driver in the York, PA region.

Position requires 1 years of Shuttle Driver experience.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

RJ Davis is looking for Class A Shuttle Driver. This is also a growing site with a new customer potential to have schedules and hours adjusted or added.

Shift

WEDNESDAY NIGHT START MIDNIGHT until 06:00am, THEN THURS/FRI/SATURDAY NIGHTS 6pm to 6am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the plant needs.
• Operate Yard Truck in a safe manner during numerous moves involving loaded and empty trailers.
• Drive and operate vehicle under 15 mph in and around the yard and storage lot.
• Enter and exit back of the jockey truck while performing each move.
• Navigate narrow steps off and on the Jockey truck while performing each move.
• Attach and detach airlines and light cords before and after each move.
• Must function and interact on a daily basis with plant personnel and comply with plant safety requirements.
• Communicate with 2-way radio and hand-held computer with dispatch, operations and plant personnel.
• Crank trailer landing legs up and down.
• Opening and closing trailer doors.
• Responsible for keeping accurate and neat records for payroll and DOT reports.

Job Type: Full-time

$23.00 to $24.00 for Class A jockeys
