Join our dynamic team at RJ Davis as a Local Truck Driver hauling jockey trucks and other equipment, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various routes. This position offers the opportunity to operate different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. We are looking for 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time driver
What you'll do
- Safely operate various truck types, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Navigate assigned routes with precision to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Utilize manual transmission skills when required for specific truck types.
Basic qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with refrigerated trailers and flatbeds.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of freight handling.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize delivery efficiency.
