Overview
HOUSEKEEPER
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Housel Manager and Head Housekeeper, responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of the residence of the Property.
Full-Time
San Francisco, CA
Start Date: ASAP
No relocation is on offer: local candidates will be considered
5 days/week: 3 weekdays 2 weekend days (alternating weekends – 4 weekend days/month)
Daily Schedule: 11:00 am-7:00 pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for high-quality day-to-day detailed cleanliness and upkeep of the residence, including the following functions:
- Perform all housekeeping for residence, including daily tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, general floor care and regular deep cleaning
- Laundry of clothing and household items, including care of items requiring special treatment, such as fine linens
- Sort clothing and linen, iron, fold, and distribute clean laundry; manage dry cleaning
- Launder and iron fine linens as directed; make and maintain beds with clean linens and fresh bedding as needed
- Furniture, accessories, fixtures and metalwork care and cleaning as necessary including dusting and polishing
- Upholstery cleaning
- Organizing and general straightening up
- Houseplants and indoor greenery
- Recycling, trash, and garbage removal
- Must be willing to work over-time on occasion as needed
- Organize and maintain various cleaning supplies and household stock items as necessary
- Prepare and serve plated meals and beverages according to the principal’s preferences, including tray service and the presentation of both formal and informal lunches
- Know what food is being served at all times with special attention to dietary restrictions
- Contribute to the maintenance request log for the Property as necessary
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping equipment and tools
- Assist at parties and events at the Property as needed
- Ensure the care and well-being of household Pets
- Occasional coverage of front door when requested by Security
- Other related duties upon request
- Uniform requirements are black pants, a polo-shirt (staff is reimbursed for work related clothing and shoes, aprons are provided)
SKILLS AND WORK HABITS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in large, multi-staffed homes
Experience with smart home systems and appliances
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor required at all times
Be prompt and on time to all meetings, scheduled work and all timelines established by the House Manager
Organized, efficient, punctual, reliable, proactive, self-starter
Personable and able to work with various individuals effectively
Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills
Must have and express a positive approach to problems and situations that may arise
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and REQUIREMENTS:
Able for full-time active work in and around the residence and grounds
Able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, carry, move typical household items, full laundry basket
Able to use stairways, household ladder, or step stool
Able to operate household laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, kitchen appliances
- Muist be willing to undergo an in-depth background investigation
- Must be willing to sign an NDA
- Must excellent references from previous employers
COMPENSATION:
$50 per hour | DOE
Medical/Dental/Vision: Benefits after 90 days of employment for employee and dependents
Meals are provided
Eligible for PTO after 90 days – 13.3 hours per month (20 days per year), which covers vacation, sick days, and personal time.
