What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Engagement Coordinator (3527) position at DM CLINICAL RESEARCH GROUP?
The Patient Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support in developing relationships in the community and increasing our presence within the diverse groups in the Houston area.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend and research viable outreach events between to serve as a representative for DM Clinical Research in external community diversity outreach initiatives and provide information on clinical trials to engage patients and educate them on the subject
- Assist in organizing the logistics (flyers, giveaways etc.) for outreach events and ensuring all materials are accessible at each location
- Assist with identifying and performing patient outreach and community relationship development through phone-calls, emails, in-person meetings with stakeholders in the community
- Increase diversity in clinical trials through planning, coordination and implementation of projects in partnership with the Patient Engagement team.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse providers, clinical team, outreach workers, and other staff to promote participation and drive patient engagement metrics established by the management team
- Assist the Patient Engagement team in building best practice strategies for engaging diverse communities to partner with DM Clinical in various outreach activities throughout the year.
- Help coordinate internal and external advocacy groups to initiate and/or present at events in diverse communities
- Assist in facilitating awareness and advocacy programs that engage organizations, partners and clinical trial participants
- Ensure each patient has a positive interaction by providing a high level of customer service and assist in data driven improvement projects with the patient engagement team
- Assist with data collection on required metrics from company databases while adhering to IRB and HIPAA guidelines for data collection to drive evaluation of ongoing initiatives and programs in partnership with the Patient Engagement team
- Help inform educational content strategy for outreach in collaboration with the Digital Marketing team
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to work and travel on weekends
- Assist with any other matters assigned by the management team
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited 4-year college or university
Experience:
- 1 year(s) of related experience and/or training in advocacy and outreach or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be willing and enthusiastic to travel
- Demonstrate enthusiasm to work with a wide range of people
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to complete speaking engagements in front of an audience
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and the willingness to learn the use of Patient data platforms
- Well organized, attention to detail and a multi-tasker
- Excellent customer service skills
