Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated HVAC Helper / Maintenance Assistant to support our technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in the HVAC/R industry, offering hands-on experience and growth opportunities in a high-demand field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist HVAC technicians in the installation of new systems, including cutting and
- assembling ductwork, handling tools and materials, and preparing work areas.
- Support maintenance efforts by inspecting and cleaning HVAC equipment,
- changing filters, and ensuring systems are in proper working condition.
- Help diagnose basic issues and carry out routine repairs under the supervision of
- senior technicians.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained, organized, and available for daily
- use.
- Safely transport materials and tools to job sites and help set up work areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety
- policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients as needed.
- Learn and follow company procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Interest in HVAC/R industry and willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Previous experience or training in HVAC, construction, or general maintenance.
- Enrollment in or completion of an HVAC training program.
