DLZ Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our Bridgeville, PA office. This role is ideal for a highly experienced water/wastewater professional who enjoys mentoring teams and managing technical projects. The position is focused more on technical leadership, team management, and project delivery, with some client interaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage complex, multi-discipline engineering projects from planning through design, construction, and closeout.
- Provide technical leadership and serve as a senior advisor to engineering staff.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Lead project planing, scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.
- Monitor project performance including budgeting, schedules, forecasts, and quality control.
- Review and approve major change orders and ensure contractual commitments are met.
- Coordinate internal teams across disciples to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as primary point of contact for project-related client communication and maintain strong working relationships.
- Conduct project kickoff and progress meetings and prepare project status reports.
- Support business development efforts as needed, including technical input on proposals and pursuits.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Work with accounting to maintain accurate billing and project financials.
- Participate in professional organizations and industry activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- 15-25 years of experience in engineering/project management, with strong water/wastewater project experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Ability to visit and traverse project and construction sites safely.
- Proficiency with standard engineering and project management software tools.
