DLZ Corporation is seeking a CAD Technician to support our design operations in Logan, OH. This is primarily an office-based role where you will play a key part in preparing project base maps and detailed plans for underground utilities and a variety of municipal projects.
What You’ll Do
- Perform drafting assignments and create/manage complex drawings for projects.
- Prepare layouts, details, and markups for revisions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Gather and apply project data, including conducting field measurements and reviews using modern tools.
- Assist with preliminary calculations, quantity take-offs, and preparation of as-built drawings; review contractor submittals.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Professional Surveyors, Engineers, and Technicians throughout all project phases.
- Maintain digital files and documentation in cloud-based platforms and support sustainability and safety standards.
- Mentor junior staff and share best practices (based on experience).
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure project success.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma required, Associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in computer-aided drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; familiarity with civil engineering or municipal projects is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
