Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate custodial staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations across all areas.
- Perform thorough cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Oversee floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of appearance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and in good working condition.
- Train new custodial staff on best practices in cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Address any custodial-related issues promptly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to support special events or projects requiring additional cleaning services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles, showcasing your expertise in cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Strong background in floor care, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and practices; residential painting experience is a plus!
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is highly desirable.
