Position Summary
DLP Services is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to support daily laundry operations in Monahans, TX. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and established quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort laundry by color, fabric type, and washing requirements.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure and use laundry detergents, cleaning products, and other supplies according to instructions.
- Fold, organize, and distribute clean linens, towels, and other laundry items.
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring additional treatment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area.
- Remove lint and perform routine cleaning of laundry equipment as directed.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report low inventory to the supervisor.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper chemical-handling guidelines.
- Assist with additional housekeeping or laundry-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry laundry loads and supplies as required by the position.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Must comply with applicable workplace policies and safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
This position requires prolonged standing and walking, repetitive bending and reaching, and handling laundry baskets, linens, and supplies. The employee must be able to perform the essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
The Laundry Attendant works in an indoor laundry facility where temperatures may be warm and exposure to moisture, laundry chemicals, and operating equipment may occur. Appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment must be followed.
