THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a “gearhead”,
- Be a self-starter, able to complete tasks using their knowledge and skill,
- Be experiences with several types of turning centers, including Mazak and Doosan
THE CNC LATHE MACHINIST/PROGRAMMER WILL:
- Program, set-up and operate Mazak and Doosan turning centers,
- Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine parts dimensions and cut configurations
- Determine type and size of cutting tool according to metal stock hardness and cut shape,
- Locate position of metal stock on machine fixture, machining start point on tool set point, and cutter change points by 3-dimensional coordinates,
- Troubleshoot machining problems to produce a quality part
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, vocational training preferred
- 3-5 years CNC Lathe experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometer to ensure part is within specifications
