THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a “gearhead”,
• Be a self-starter, able to complete tasks using their knowledge and skill,
• Be experiences with several types of turning centers, including Mazak and Doosan

THE CNC LATHE MACHINIST/PROGRAMMER WILL:

• Program, set-up and operate Mazak and Doosan turning centers,
• Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine parts dimensions and cut configurations
• Determine type and size of cutting tool according to metal stock hardness and cut shape,
• Locate position of metal stock on machine fixture, machining start point on tool set point, and cutter change points by 3-dimensional coordinates,
• Troubleshoot machining problems to produce a quality part

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, vocational training preferred
• 3-5 years CNC Lathe experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometer to ensure part is within specifications
