Position Location: Remote – must be available for deployment within 24–48 hours to locations across the United States and internationally. Must be located near a major airport. Travel 50 - 75%

Job Summary
The Commissioning Specialized Work and Testing (S.W.A.T.) Team Lead (Mission Commander) is the highest-ranking member of the S.W.A.T. Team. This role leads mission-critical deployments with authority and precision, responsible for directing technical operations, managing in-field personnel, and ensuring successful outcomes under high-pressure conditions. The Mission Commander coordinates resources, assigns responsibilities, communicates with stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement after each deployment.
Mission Commander will be self-directed on day-to-day work and independently performs most responsibilities. Will lead teams and projects or tasks of complex scope and broader programs. Will coordinate activities of other personnel. Assists in the development of policies and procedures.
This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

Essential Functions
- Directs rapid-response deployment efforts in mission-critical environments.
- Leads troubleshooting efforts, failure containment, and commissioning execution.
- Assigns and coordinates tasks for technical leads and embedded field engineers.
- Maintains real-time communications with DLB leadership and client stakeholders.
- Leads tactical briefings, failure assessments, and post-deployment reviews.
- Escalates critical issues and recommends process improvements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced, high-stakes technical environments.
- Multidisciplinary technical knowledge (electrical, mechanical, controls).
- PE, PMP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Must be calm under pressure, decisive, and client-facing.

- Frequently descending / ascending stairs and ladders to access equipment
- On occasion the employee may be required to position self under or over equipment
- On occasion the employee may move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- 50 - 75% travel, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states. Potential for international deployment.
- Must be located near a major airport.
- Effective May 7, 2025, and in accordance with U.S. federal regulations for domestic air travel, a valid REAL ID (or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport) is required for travel associated with this position.
- Travel may involve transportation by car or plane depending on the destination and nature of the business need.
- Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meetings for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
- Potential relocation opportunities may exist per project needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline or equivalent military/field experience.
- Two years of additional experience in related field in lieu of degree
- Minimum 13 years of experience in mission-critical engineering, commissioning, or equivalent.
