Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be assisting the Accounting Manager with monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, which includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations such as inventory, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to excellence in financial management.
Responsibilities:
· Perform inventory accounting activities including inventory reserves, cycle count reviews, obsolete inventory analysis, and inventory reconciliations.
· Support cost accountant and maintain standard costing processes.
· Assist Accounting Manager with monthly PPV reports.
· Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure accurate inventory transactions and costing data.
· Prepare monthly inventory reserve calculations and support inventory disposition and write-off activities.
· Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support business decision-making.
· Perform detailed financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
· Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit requests for Year End.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
· Utilize Excel skills for financial modeling, reconciliations, and data analysis.
· Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Sigma and other business intelligence tools. (Open to learn such programs)
· Work with ERP systems to extract, analyze, and validate financial and operational data.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams.
· Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
· Support management with preparation of presentations, reporting packages, and executive summaries.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
· Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within manufacturing, or inventory-intensive environments.
· Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
· Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
· Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and internal controls.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Experience with data visualization.
· Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
