Custodian-Janitor

Job Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for general cleanliness of DL4K LLC facilities. We are in search of an energetic candidate to complete janitorial services for a private school on Patterson Avenue. The incumbent must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team is a must, along with working independently, comprehending and following written or verbal directions. The applicant MUST have good and reliable transportation.

Essential Functions:

· Scrub, sanitize, sweep and mop floor.

· Dispose of trash, clean up spills and replace air fresheners.

· Utilize Personal Protective Equipment as needed; notify supervision of repair needs, spills, safety concerns or hazardous situations.

· Keep records of maintenance, monitor cleaning supplies, restock supplies in bathrooms and other areas.

· Replace trash bags in trash cans and replace soap dispensers and sanitizer bottles

· Clean and disinfect all touchable surfaces (door handles, faucets, countertops, mirrors, etc.)

· Secure all doors upon completion of cleaning

Education:

-High School Diploma or equivalent

Typical Physical Activity:
- Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, working in cramped areas, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 90 lbs., carrying up to 50 lbs., and stooping. Position requires bending, twisting, lifting (up to 25 pounds), stretching, reaching, and standing for extended periods of time.

Qualifications/Education/Work Experience:

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation to job location.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
