Company Overview
We are a fast-paced metal fabrication company specializing in ornamental and miscellaneous metals. We're seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team at our Quakertown office. This role offers the opportunity to oversee dynamic projects across the Tri-State area, working with a skilled and dedicated team. A hybrid work schedule is possible for the right candidate.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project coordination, ensuring timely and seamless delivery of our products and installations. This includes working closely with our in-house detailers, shop managers, and subcontractors to manage projects from procurement through closeout. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review project drawings and submittals.
- Manage and direct subcontracted erection crews.
- Identify and price changes in contract scope along with the sales departments support.
- Assist with design-build projects and ensure design intent is realized.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth coordination.
- Attend site meetings and conduct field measurements when required.
- Develop and monitor production and installation schedules.
- Communicate effectively with the detailing team to ensure the best methods are used.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to closeout.
- Report regularly to the company Executives.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years experience in construction project management and 3 years in ornamental and miscellaneous metals.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to foresee and address issues.
- Physical ability to access all areas of a construction site in varying conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites (reimbursable expenses).
- Preferred but not required: College degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
