What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at DL Martin, Company?
SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met for government contracts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Inspects incoming products purchased for orders (e.g., raw materials, sub components & assemblies).
- Contacts customer personnel for rejection issues and on-site quality audits.
- Serves as liaison between customer quality personnel and D.L. Martin Co.
- Supports and helps with paperwork for customer orders (e.g., Excel spreadsheets, contract reviews, routing information, pre-production tags & PPAP).
- Ensures products for Quacustomer orders are packaged in accordance with contract requirements and that required documentation (e.g., certificates of conformance, material certifications & dimensional information) is shipped along with those products.
- Ensures effective corrective action is taken internally, by utilizing disciplined problem-solving techniques, when products are rejected by Customer.
- Ensures effective corrective action is taken by suppliers and subcontractors when Rejected Material Reports (RMRs) are issued for products purchased for customer orders.
- Ensures documentation (e.g., certificates of conformance, material certifications, PPAP, etc.) specified on D.L. Martin Co. purchase orders is received from suppliers and subcontractors with products purchased for customer orders or DLM products, and that it is compliant with contract requirements.
- Complies with all applicable requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Assists with quality improvement by establishing methods of data collection, or other experimental design techniques. Assist in driving continuous improvement as necessary through the appropriate personnel.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or B.S. in a Technical field. Prior quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Should have general quality system knowledge (ISO or AS9100)

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
