What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)
As a Maintenance Helper, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility while supporting our maintenance team. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Facility Cleaning: Sweep floors, clean work areas, and help maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
- Restroom Maintenance: Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Waste Removal: Empty trash, recycling, and cardboard containers throughout the facility.
- Machine Housekeeping: Empty chip pans, barrels, and hoppers to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Coolant Maintenance: Clean coolant sumps and refill them with coolant as needed.
- Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance personnel with general facility upkeep and other tasks as assigned.
- Environmental Responsibility: Collect, handle, and transfer coolant in accordance with company procedures and environmental policies.
- Safety & Organization: Follow established safety procedures and help maintain our clean and organized 6S manufacturing environment.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Experience: No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Dependability: Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to perform cleaning, housekeeping, and hands-on support duties.
- Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others.
- Safety Awareness: Willingness to learn and follow company safety and environmental procedures.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Ability: Frequently walk and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Regularly use hands to handle tools, materials, and equipment. Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, and reach.
- Vision: Ability to perform tasks requiring close and distance vision.
- Environment: Work in a manufacturing facility with typically loud noise levels, exposure to dirt and coolant, and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
