What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Coverage Attorney (Tampa - HYBRID REMOTE) position at DL Group, LLC?
Distinguished, mid-sized NATIONAL insurance defense litigation firm is looking for experienced FLORIDA Insurance Coverage Attorneys (Either 3rd Party Bodily Injury OR 1st Party Property DEFENSE experience REQUIRED) to join their TAMPA team.
WE ALLOW HYBRID WORK-FROM-HOME (3 days per week "in office" and 2 days remote).
We will consider insurance defense attorneys with solid knowledge and a good grasp on coverage issues and are willing to train more in this area.
Should have substantial experience with FL Bodily Injury and/or First Party Property cases. We handle the defense of homeowner's claims for very reputable insurance carriers nationwide, including hurricane, storm, wind, water, fire, roofing, pipes, and other severe damage to residential and commercial properties. We also defend cases involving car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability and other severe injuries claimed by the plaintiff.
Here, it's not "required" that you have coverage experience, however, you should be familiar with insurance coverage concepts in either B.I. or First Party Property cases due to your experience litigating those cases. You should have an insurance in reviewing and interpreting insurance policies to determine whether there is coverage on a given cases, exclusions, defenses and all other contractual issues involved.
***IDEAL Candidates have 2 years insurance coverage experience with Bodily Injury, First Party Property, Insurance Coverage or other Insurance Defense Litigation in FLORIDA and a general understanding of the insurance policies/coverages as they pertain to each incident***
BILLING: We have a far lower billable hour requirement than most insurance defense firms as our compensation is performance-driven. We only require 1,875 billable hours per year to earn your base salary (156 hours per month). We offer a tiered bonus system for hours beyond this threshold and pay out bonuses of anywhere between $1k to $3k each month based on billing tiers above and beyond 156 per month. Our bonus structure is much stronger than most other law firms in FL and our employees love earning more each month for billing above a billable hour requirement that's already far below most other firms.
