Job DescriptionThe Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for reviewing final loan packages for completeness. He/she handles provides clerical support for all lending documentation activities and provides high quality and professional service to lending personnel. QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience helpful, particularly in a financial environmentBasic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan services and procedures preferredFamiliarity with general loan documentation helpfulAccurate and attentive to detailWell organizedGood typing skillsWilling and able to help othersAble to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipmentAble to get along well with coworkersResponsibilitiesReceives completed loan packages to be reviewed and detailedVerifies information listed on the “Boarding Data Sheet” matches the data input into internal systems and that all required documentation is included in the loan package (i.e., promissory note, security agreement, deed of trust, etc.)Notifies the branch of any missing items via the Loan Documentation Correction sheetLogs all pending items into databaseScans all documents into Laser FicheAssists with scanning miscellaneous documentation such as denials, typist packets, etcCoordinates functions with related departments and Branches and provides support as neededVerifies accuracy of input and documents as neededObtains and conveys information as neededKeeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concernsEnsures that customers' requests and questions are promptly resolvedMaintains and projects the Bank's professional reputationPromotes D.L.
