What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tower39 Bartender position at DKN HOTEL GROUP?
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and up sell.
- Create and serve beverages.
- Process all cash and charge transactions according to house procedures.
- Stock side station with garnishments, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers.
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager and supervisors with stocking beverages, mixes, and any items requested.
- Stock beverages and mixes for next shift.
- Close checks and run reports at the end of shift.
- Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times.
- Wash dishes, cups, serviceware.
- Greet and seat guests.
- Adhere to food safety requirements.
- Run food from kitchen to guests/tables
- Run drinks from bar to guests/tables.
- Run food/drinks from lounge to rooms.
- Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Adhear and uphold all ABC, and health department guidelines.

Independent Judgment Used:
Often within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Outdoor Bar/Lounge. Access to kitchen including commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning agents. Access to entire exterior and interior of property. Environmental elements include high heat, cold weather, rain, wind, and insects such as bees.
Qualifications:Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Previous experience desirable. Previous one (1) year experience preferred. Basic state, local and dram shop laws.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
English speaking or bilingual. Operate cash register. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for long periods of time. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
