Title: Food & Beverage Attendant

Report To: Executive Housekeeper

Brief Summary of Job:

Responsible for preparing/setting up/servicing breakfast buffet, evening social hour and assisting guests efficiently and courteously.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Set up breakfast area and social hour areas.
• Prepare breakfast and social hour according to operational policies and DKN Hotels’ standards.
• Attend to guests needs to ensure food and beverages are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner.
• Inventory food items and report on supplies to be ordered.
• Control inventory for loss, waste and spoilage.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen/breakfast bar area to DKN Hotels’ standards and all health codes at all times.
• Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Deliver DKN’s “Home Away From Home” experience
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

Independent Judgment Used:

Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Breakfast area and kitchen including commercial equipment for cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing and cleaning agents. Access to entire exterior and interior of property.

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

Previous experience desirable.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:

MUST be Fluent English speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking for long periods of time. Repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing and pulling. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
