Upbeat, bright, modern, and fun chiropractic office seeking competent, outgoing, and clinically responsible Chiropractic Assistant for a full-time position in Honolulu, HI.
Work Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when the clinic is open. Hours might increase as the need arises
- Weekday 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM / 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM
- Flexible schedule
Qualifications
- Experience: Medical Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
- Education: Associate Degree or equivalent (Required)
- Location: Honolulu, HI (Required)
- Skill: English (Required), Korean (Preferred), Computer skills
- Work Experience preferred *training provided if no previous experience
- Good time management skills
- A high functioning individual with multi-tasking abilities
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable with technology
- Accuracy in collecting payments, scheduling appointments, insurance protocol, and record-keeping is vital to the success of this role while maintaining a friendly communication
- Professional customer service and problem-solving skills are critical aspects of the role
Job Responsibilities
- Performs office opening and closing duties
- Keeps reception area clean
- Patient Coordinator: Register, check-in patients, show them treatment room, reschedule patients, collect payments
- Call patients to remind them about their appointments as needed
- Contact patients by phone or mail regarding missed appointments
- Answers incoming phone calls and provides customer service to patients/callers
- Inform patients of any delays due to schedule back-up, emergencies, etc
- Creates sales receipts
- Determine and collect co-payments, deductibles, past due balances, and other patients financial responsibilities and maintain and balance cash drawer
- Billing follow-up-Computer data entry and posting of payments
- Report Daily Sales Summary Report to Doctor(s) or Office Manager
- Obtains accurate insurance and demographic information from patients
- Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment and billing/collections policies
- Register patients in the electronic registration system.
- Scanning and uploading medical documents into the EMR
- Send fax billing documents
- Update operations manual and employee manual
- Obtain Intake form and OA form from patients
- Medical records preparation
- Organizes patient charts for physicians including verification of complete information before patient visit
- Making sure treatment rooms are ready for patients: Sanitize, Clean, and set up the room after each patient
- Handles specific requests from the Doctor or Office Manager
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Maintain inventory of supplements and supplies
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records for HIPAA compliance.
- Other tasks as assigned
