Medical Assistant with Dermatology

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant for a fantastic opportunity in Edmond, OK! Top candidates will have at least 1 year of active experience and ability to start immediately. Certification/Registration and Experience in Dermatology STRONGLY preferred. Active experience in an office setting and with an EMR system required to be successful in this role.

Medical Assistant Duties and Requirements:

• Dermatology experience is preferred
• Carry out standard clinical tasks such as recording vital signs, detailing patients’ primary issues, and aiding with medical procedures.
• Keep precise notes in patient records through EMR system.
• Prepare patients thoroughly for examinations and various treatments.
• Provide accompaniment to healthcare providers during patient interactions.
• Ensure safe transportation of patients within the facility while managing patient flow efficiently.
• Collect samples for testing and conduct necessary lab procedures as required.
• Manage documentation related to biopsies, specimen transport, and provide guidance on post-procedure care to patients.
• Facilitate referrals to other medical professionals following physician orders.
• Secure pre-authorizations from insurance companies for prescribed medications when necessary.
• Keep accurate clinical records that support efficient clinic operations
• Execute clinical responsibilities with precision and punctuality.
• Contribute to drafting correspondence directed towards our valued patients

Medical Assistant Communication Skills:

• Active experience working in an EMR system
• Exhibit professionalism during phone interactions ensuring courtesy at all times.
• Maintain an atmosphere conducive to professional work standards.
• Promptly inform medical staff about any delays or concerns affecting patient service.
• Collaboratively engage with the healthcare team by sharing pertinent information timely.
• Proactively report any issues or challenges to nursing staff or supervisors.
• Actively participate by proposing ideas aimed at enhancing clinic operations.
• Employ conflict resolution expertise when addressing patient inquiries or grievances effectively.
• We offer competitive wages ranging between $16-$18 per hour based on your expertise level.

PAY:

• $16 per hour to start, depending on experience. This will be discussed in the interview.

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
