Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery to perform tasks such as grading, digging, lifting, and moving materials.
- Manage the operation of specialized vehicles like concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and farm machinery to support various project needs.
- Assist with site preparation by leveling ground, excavating trenches, and clearing debris while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and identify maintenance needs.
- Follow detailed instructions from site supervisors to execute construction tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with team members to load and unload materials using appropriate machinery such as loaders and cranes.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety protocols and project workflows.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks preferred.
- Ability to operate specialized machinery including concrete mixers and farm equipment confidently.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
