Duties
- Host lively trivia games, engaging guests with energetic commentary and clear instructions to ensure maximum participation.
- Manage event flow by coordinating game rounds, scorekeeping, and announcing winners with enthusiasm.
- Interact with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, addressing questions and encouraging friendly competition.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, including equipment handling such as microphones, sound systems, and visual aids.
- Enforce safety protocols during events, including crowd control and conflict management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate score records and process cash transactions for entry fees or merchandise using POS systems.
- Collaborate with venue staff to ensure smooth event operations and uphold high standards of guest services.
Skills
- Proven experience in events management or hosting live entertainment.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to energize a crowd and foster engagement.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle disputes or unruly guests professionally.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience working in event venues or hospitality environments enhances your suitability for this role.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting for equipment setup or cleanup.
- Customer service expertise with a friendly attitude that makes every guest feel valued.
- Familiarity with retail sales, processing cash transactions, and POS systems for merchandise or entry fees.
- Experience working outdoors or in outdoor venues is a plus.
- Background in food service or resort environments can be beneficial for understanding guest needs.
