Position: PM Line Cook
Summary:
We are looking for a skilled, high energy PM Line Cook with a willingness to learn and work as a team. At DJ's Sports Bar and Grill we are a small tight knit kitchen. We have been voted the best burger in the burbs for years and plan to maintain that reputation.
You will be responsible for preparing quality food, specifically mastering our reward winning burgers, during our busiest dinner rushes.
Key responsibilities
- Station Set Up: Prepare and stock the line with all necessary food items and equipment upon arrival for shift. Performing Line check to ensure your are completely set up for dinner service.
- Food Preparation: Cook menu items to exact specifications, recipe standards, and temperature requirements.
- Burger Execution: Master the Grill to deliver perfectly cooked, consistent burgers under high volume pressure.
- Kitchen Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace adhering to all food safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front of house team to ensure smooth service.
- Nightly Closing: Clean, breakdown, and restock the line at the end of the shift to prepare for the morning crew.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years preferred (willing to train right eager individual)
Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work efficiently in a hot kitchen environment.
Availability: Must be able to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
