Plant Director – Manufacturing Operations
📍 Northeast Ohio
A global manufacturer is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the launch and growth of its first North American manufacturing facility in Northeast Ohio.
This is a unique opportunity to build a manufacturing operation from the ground up, including facility startup, team development, operational leadership, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility startup, equipment installation, and operational readiness
- Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing team
- Implement safety, quality, ERP, and operational systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Drive performance across production, quality, delivery, and cost
- Manage site P&L and support business growth initiatives
- Collaborate with international leadership and technical teams
Qualifications
- 8 years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Previous Plant Manager, Operations Director, General Manager, or similar leadership experience
- Experience launching or scaling manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing regulations and operational excellence
- Proven ability to build and lead teams
Preferred Experience
- Adhesives, coatings, converting, specialty materials, polymers, or related industries
- Web processing, roll-to-roll manufacturing, laminating, or coating operations
- Greenfield startup experience
- ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485 environments
