What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and maintain a CNC Hydmech Saw, as well as CNC mills and lathes, to produce precision metal components.
- Safely transport raw materials to and from the saw station.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet drawing specifications, recognizing machining issues and making necessary adjustments.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance activities on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain flexibility by taking on rotating assignments, including manual operations and assembly tasks as needed.
- Work safely alongside co-workers, strictly adhering to all safety protocols, and collaborate effectively as part of the production team.
- Actively participate in training to learn Bearon's unique manufacturing processes and develop CNC programming skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Background in machining or manufacturing is required (e.g., machine shop, metal manufacturing).
- Previous experience as a CNC operator, machine operator, or mechanic is highly preferred.
- Trade school education in mechanics, automotive, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and shop mathematics skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools and precision measuring tools.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and a high level of dedication.
- Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift and lift and move up to 50 pounds over the course of a shift.
