Dixie Metal Products (“Dixie”) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead all accounting and key financial activities. This is a growth role for the right candidate — you will report to the business unit President, with extensive interaction with our parent company leadership team.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:
- Serve as the financial steward and strategic partner to the management team, providing data-driven insights, and recommendations that influence operational, commercial, and capital-allocation decisions.
- Own the full accounting and finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory, AP/AR, and cash management.
- Play a leadership role in an ERP implementation, ensuring proper architecture, data integrity, and adoption across the business; drive continued system optimization.
- Lead and elevate the month-end close processes, ensuring strong internal controls and transparency; deliver financial reporting summaries, including analysis and insights.
- Partner with sales and operations to improve pricing, cost accounting accuracy and inventory management practices.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting activities; track KPIs and dashboards that enable proactive management of margins, operational efficiency, cash flow, and performance against targets.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and development to team members, building a high-performing finance organization that can scale with the business.
- Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Proficient in accounting and ERP software, with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC365 a plus.
- Strong problem solving, analytical thinking and understanding of business impact.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable interacting directly and professionally with vendors, operations, sales, and other team members.
- Highly ethical, positive culture addition, self-motivated.
- Local to Ocala, FL area or nearby, or willing to relocate.
