Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Equipment Operator based in Columbia, SC. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery, including equipment for excavation and grading tasks, as well as conducting maintenance checks and ensuring safe operation. Daily responsibilities include managing and operating equipment efficiently, performing pre- and post-operation inspections, and collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Equipment Operation, including the use of heavy machinery
- Skills in Equipment Maintenance to ensure proper function and reliability
- Experience with Excavation processes and techniques
- Familiarity with Heavy Equipment operation and safety protocols
- Forklift Operation experience is highly beneficial
- Commitment to workplace safety and ability to adhere to operational guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in equipment operation are advantageous
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
