What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Leader / Production Supervisor position at Dixfield Sawmill?
The Dixfield Sawmill is a word-class facility and is the largest Eastern White Pine sawmill in North America. In addition to tremendous support from our owner, our employees are afforded a wide variety of opportunities to grow and develop.
Reporting to the Sawmill Manager, the Team Leader for night production will be responsible for the overall results (safety, quality, and production) of the night shift, ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times.

- Duties include scheduling personnel and weekly payroll submission
- Assist with training, developing, and coaching employees
- Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner
- Work with the team to maintain company cleanliness standards
- Ensure accurate completion of production, downtime, safety, and shift reporting is met
- Work closely with Maintenance to to minimize downtime and maximize uptime efficiency
- Lead and participate in improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve cost effectiveness
- Committed to top performance in a safe work environment

- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

- Prior manufacturing experience is required
