We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within our organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with customers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to budget. The Project Manager will apply industry best practices and their expertise to manage project risks, identify opportunities for process improvement, and foster a collaborative project environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple small to medium projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with team members to define project plans, including tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets
- Coordinate and communicate with project team members, subcontractors, and customers
- Monitor project progress both in the shop and on-site, and ensure adherence to scope, timelines and budgets
- Manage project documentation, including contracts and change orders, RFIs, material acquisition and purchase orders, shop work orders and shippers
- Regularly communicate project status, updates, and potential roadblocks to team members and leadership
- Conduct effective project meetings, document discussions, decisions, and action items
- Foster strong relationships with customers and team members, maintaining open lines of communication and managing expectations
- Continuously assess project performance and outcomes, seeking opportunities for process improvement and lessons learned
- Implement and champion best practices in project management methodologies and tools
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of proven experience in project management within the construction industry, millwork preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and details
- Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficient with computer skills using Microsoft 365 and Bluebeam Review. Familiarity with ProCore, TradeSoft - ProjectPAK/ShopPAK highly favorable
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
