Occupational Therapist or OTA - Part-Time

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

General Description:  Provides specialized occupational therapy services for eligible school students.  Responsible for the screening, assessment, planning, goal development, and providing appropriate intervention services.  Particular areas of emphasis include fine motor skills, sensory/perceptual motor skills, and self-care skills.

Requirements:

1. Must hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
2. Must possess or be eligible for a valid license to meet state requirements as set forth by the Virginia Board of Medicine. 
3. Knowledge of medical and/or pediatric information and indications for occupational therapy services.
4. Experience as an occupational therapist preferred.
5. Experience with pediatric occupational therapy preferred.

Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

General Description:  Under the direction of a Certified Occupational Therapist, provides specialized occupational therapy services for eligible school students.  Responsible for assisting with the screening, assessment, planning, goal development, and providing appropriate intervention services.  Particular areas of emphasis include fine motor skills, sensory/perceptual motor skills, and self-care skills.

Requirements:

1. Must possess an Associate’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
2. Must possess or be eligible for a valid license to meet state requirements as set forth by the Virginia Board of Medicine. 
3. Knowledge of medical and/or pediatric information and indications for occupational therapy services.
4. Experience as an occupational therapist assistant preferred.
5. Experience with pediatric occupational therapy preferred.
