Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Substitute Bus Driver
FLSA: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have a valid Virginia drivers license.

Must have or be willing to be trained for Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

Ability to read and communicate in English.

Ability to follow instructions and take initiative in performance of assigned tasks.
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 day contract
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Interact with parents, students, faculty, and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.

Pick up and transport students daily to and from school.

Perform all tasks in accordance with division guidelines.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Report all needed bus maintenance and repair needs. Maintain clean bus both inside and out.

Report to work at scheduled time with proper attire and appropriately groomed.

Adhere to all school division and transportation rules and regulations.

Participate in meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

Complete other tasks as assigned.
