Division Street Dance is the premier dance studio in Northfield, MN. Our dance studio has been training and educating children in the Northfield community and the surrounding area since 2011. We offer both competitive and recreational classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary Modern, Musical Theatre, Irish, Pointe, Boys Only Classes, Creative Dance, and Mommy & Me. The mission of DSD is to foster a love and appreciation for the art of dance through quality education, performance opportunities, and fun. .
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dance instruction and a strong background in lesson planning and curriculum development.
**Duties:**
- Develop and implement dance lesson plans for students of various ages and skill levels
- Instruct students on various dance styles, techniques, and routines
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with other instructors to coordinate performances and recitals
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, acro, hip-hop, or contemporary
- Experience working with students in a teaching or coaching capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage students
- Knowledge of childhood development or adult education principles
- Ability to create engaging and effective classroom experiences.
