Spanish Interpreter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Spanish Interpreter to join our team, committed to bridging communication gaps and ensuring clear understanding across diverse settings. In this role, you will facilitate accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation between Spanish-speaking clients and legal professionals. Examples of job duties include

• serves as an interpreter for Public Defender staff members and Public
• Defender clients in a variety of settings, such as conference, arraignments, interviews, and other meetings outside formal courtroom proceedings;
• accompanies Division employees on jail visits or othe off-site locations, including home visits;
• assists in the completion of case-related documents or forms;
• participates in study and training activities individually and in groups to develop and maintain interpreting and translating skills;
• performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both Spanish and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining professionalism under pressure

Pay: $28.81 per hour
