The Division of Enforcement, Office of Collections is seeking a Collections Supervisory Trial Attorney. As a Collections Supervisory Trial Attorney, you will you will manage and coordinate the work of your team and perform a full range of supervisory duties.

- J.D. or LL.B. degree --AND--
- Active membership of the bar in good standing in any state, territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. (Note: proof of bar membership will be required before entry on duty.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.
SK-17: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-14/15 level. Specialized experience includes:- Conducting enforcement investigations or litigation.
- Planning, organizing, and coordinating projects or initiatives relating to investigations, policies or processes.
- Recommending actions to the Commission to address issues.

Responsibilities:
In this role as a Collections Supervisory Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for:- Supervising the work of Trial Attorneys who conduct and implement all activities related to the collection of delinquent debts associated with cases brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, with knowledge of and experience with federal collection litigation.
- Serving as an expert in the field of delinquent debt collection and receiverships associated with securities violation cases, and the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of those actions; and designing and maintaining guidelines for delinquent debt prioritization.
- Fostering the Office of Collection's working rapport with other Enforcement attorneys, and staff within Office of General Counsel, Office of Chief Counsel, Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, Office of Investor Education and Assistance, Office of Financial Management and Office of the Secretary to collaborate on collections matters as necessary.
- Enforcing federal securities laws, sets priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Recommending promotions or reassignments; hearing and resolving complaints; mentoring and training staff; and identifying development and training opportunities for employees.
- Participating with other supervisors in the management of the office, consulting with and advising senior managers on administrative matters relating to personnel and office procedures.
- Managing and coordinating the work of teams, which can include attorneys, accountants, program analysts, experts and support staff, and performing a full range of supervisory duties.
Salary : $171,304
