We’re an established organic loose tea company seeking a detail-oriented, highly dependable Operations Coordinator to support daily operations in our retail and eCommerce environment. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, adaptable with superior attention to detail.
About the Role: This individual will be the backbone of our daily operations, and frontline for customer support overseeing orders; ensuring the accuracy of billing and shipments. Knowledge of our products is necessary to maximize customer experience and for revenue generating. Direct support with problem solving basic customer or office needs
- Experience: Proven background 5 years in an office environment within a retail setting. Computer-savvy with confidence using spreadsheets, POS, or inventory software.
- Technical Skills: Strong attention to detail. Computer savvy: proficiency with Office 365, basic tech support troubleshooting with general office tools. Comfortable with Excel spreadsheets. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for periods of time. Comfortable moving between office tasks and hands-on fulfillment work
- Communication: A positive, team-oriented attitude and clear transparent communication skills. Verbally and written. Friendly, professional
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to maintain a tidy workspace. Prior experience maintaining a paper filing system
- Reliability: Punctual, ethical, and present. Prepared to get the tasks done. Consistent follow through.
- Accountability: The master of to-do notes. Proactive, takes ownership of their work. Ability to meet deadlines timely.
- Customer Service: Previous experience in customer support
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize incoming customer orders from online and retail sales
- Process shipments accurately
- Cross train to fulfill customer orders into packaging (weighing, labeling, and boxing)
- Cross train in cashiering walk in customer orders
- Track and order vendor supplies and packaging materials
- Oversee email and phone communication with customers and vendors
- Organize paper and digital documents
- Run inventory and sales audits using our software system
- Customer service on the phone and in store. Communication about the delivery of their order, questions about what is in stock, tea questions answered
