What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events & Public Relations Coordinator position at DIVINE SAVIOR LUTHERAN ACADEMY INC?
The purpose of the Events and Public Relations Coordinator is to maintain and grow a positive image of Divine Savior Academy in both the DSA community and the greater community in which the campus is located. They also help recruit new students, retain the ones already enrolled in the academy, and to help promote a positive culture and sense of pride among all DSA stakeholders. This will allow the gospel to be shared with more families from our local community.
The Events and Public Relations position has a cooperative relationship with the Marketing Department, Admissions Department, and school leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
Prior experience in community engagement highly preferred
Communicates effectively (orally and in writing)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Energetic, takes initiative
Independent worker, self-motivated
Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her “light shine” when interacting with the DSA Family and the community
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to see and hear and speak frequently
Ability to use repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding
Ability to occasionally handle average weight objects up to 10 pounds
Must be able to walk in the facility and set-up for events

Duties
Is the vision-maker and developer of creating a community presence in Delray Beach
Creates and cultivates relationships in the community
Coordinates and promotes community events
Assists in development activities and promotes strategic partnerships
Actively seeks to build culture and create a sense of excitement through in-house events, traditions, etc. that help promote DSA pride among all stakeholders
Attends and plans faculty events
Designs and posts engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram platforms
Develops a social media calendar and executes social media campaigns to promote the school and increase engagement with families, students, staff and the community
Creates/produces photo montages and short videos for social media platforms to engage and inform students, families, staff, and the community
Monitors social media messaging and responds accordingly
Proofreads posts and publications for clarity and accuracy
Supports office staff in welcoming visitors, preparing school tour supplies, and answering phone calls
Other Administrative duties as needed.
Other Public Relations duties as needed.
