Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor through merchandising and stocking activities to ensure product availability
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are presented attractively
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product knowledge sharing
- Promote store promotions and special offers through effective communication and upselling techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and balancing cash drawers accurately
- Knowledge of retail store product offerings and merchandising principles
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone etiquette, upselling techniques, and product demonstrations is desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform stocking duties as needed
