Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light household tasks to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Follow care plans meticulously while maintaining accurate documentation of services provided and client progress.
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including fall prevention and emergency response procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience in home care or personal caregiving is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical care practices and familiarity with post-acute care settings enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive support.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with Level I or Level II trauma center backgrounds, or those requiring emergency medicine expertise is advantageous.
- Background in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or teaching hospital environments demonstrates strong clinical skills.
- Sub-acute care experience or familiarity with outpatient and clinic-based care adds depth to your caregiving capabilities.
- Ability to handle emergency situations confidently, especially if you have worked in Level II trauma centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) settings.
