Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral therapies. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving behavioral health and functional skills. Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavioral intervention plans tailored to each client’s needs, utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client strengths and areas for growth.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure effective outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including behavior management, skill development, and support for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and facilitate consistent interventions.
- Participate in intake assessments to determine client eligibility and develop initial treatment strategies.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines related to behavioral health services.
Skills
- Proven experience in behavioral therapy, especially working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), special education strategies, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, patient assessment procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress and adjusting interventions accordingly.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with the ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other disabilities.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients’ families.

Pay: $18.25 - $19.00 per hour
