Job Summary
The Behavioral Specialist plays a critical role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, by implementing behavioral therapy techniques and providing compassionate care. Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments to gather relevant information about clients' behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Collect and analyze data to track client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Provide direct support and patient care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and share insights on client progress.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and behavioral assessments, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations as needed to inform treatment planning.
Skills
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis.
- Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
