About Us: Divine Accounting Solutions is a small bookkeeping practice serving a mix of nonprofit organizations and for-profit small businesses in the Asheville area and nationwide. We take pride in accurate, relationship-driven financial support for our clients.
The Role: This can be a contract role, or an employee position. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeping assistant to support an active client roster on a part-time basis. Core responsibilities include data entry, transaction categorization, and reconciliations primarily in QuickBooks Online. As the role develops, responsibilities will expand on a client-by-client basis to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, and work in Excel and Google Suite. The long-term goal is for the right person to serve as a capable backup across our systems and client base — covering operations when needed with confidence and accuracy.
A work computer will be provided as needed. Occasional in-person meetings for collaboration and training are expected; otherwise the position is remote.
What We're Looking For
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles — debits, credits, and how transactions flow through the general ledger. Software can be taught; fundamentals matter.
- Some accounting or business management experience preferred
- Comfortable learning new software and systems; QuickBooks Online and Point of Sales systems experience is a plus
- Proficiency or comfort with Excel and Google Suite
- Reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Local to the Asheville/WNC area
Pay: $23.70 - $28.55 per hour
