Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Responsibilities
- Layer one data center work including racking, cabling, and power for IT equipment
- Layer one telecom including telecom facility and equipment support
- Data Center HVAC, cooling, chilled water, CRAC units, etc.
- Daily work and experience with redundant power infrastructure
- Oversight, tracking and maintaining supplies of IT materials including cables, SFPs, power supplies, etc.
- Daily data center operations duties supporting production IT systems
- Perform data center walk-through checks, reporting issues, submitting incident tickets and service requests
- Monitoring of environmental status of production data centers
- Working with printing and mailing systems for payroll, tax forms, etc.
- Backup and restore systems to restore lost or corrupt files as needed
- Work with business continuity planning, training and exercises
- Work with common IT systems such as DCIM, ServiceNow ticketing, change management, incidents and other work tracking
- Must have or be able to obtain a Q clearance
- Hands on Data Center layer one experience
- Cabling and supporting IT and Telecom systems
- Ability to handle large printing tasks
- Experience with work tracking, ticketing, incidents, change management, etc. systems
- Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems
- Daily Data Center Operations duties for production data center environment
- Supporting critical production IT data centers
- Weekly payroll printing of thousands of printed forms
