Diversity is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing team of professionals serving individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD). If you are passionate about people, compliance, recruitment, employee engagement, and creating a strong workplace culture — we want to hear from you. This full-time opportunity is in the Chesterfield/Richmond area.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new employees
- Assist with recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Nurses, and Supervisors
- Maintain employee records and HR compliance documentation
- Track training, certifications, and background checks
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Targeted recruitment, screen and schedule interviews and organize career fairs
- Help ensure compliance with Virginia DBHDS and Medicaid staffing requirements
- Manage HR communication and employee support
- Collaborate with leadership to build a positive workplace culture
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Healthcare, Social Services, or IDD services preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills (bilingual proficiency preferred).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with targeted recruiting and onboarding, in a residential setting preferred
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital HR systems
- Knowledge of DBHDS or Medicaid waiver services is a plus
