What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kaizen Team Member position at Diversity Vuteq?

Job Summary

This individual will assist in the facilitation within the organization to make internal departments more efficient with techniques and tools for process improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support to all other departments with creation of flow racks, jigs, tables, information boards or other miscellaneous projects
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Continuous Improvement Program based upon Lean principles that enhance all aspects of Performance (customer value, quality, productivity, and safety)
  • Work with managers and supervisors to focus on continuous Improvement activities within their areas of responsibility
  • Work closely with management to establish sustainable Lean practices that empower employees, accelerate change, and enable personal and team development
  • Utilize the tools of Lean to eliminate or reduce waste
  • Formulates and recommends manufacturing processes and procedures, layout, and material handling methods
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; creating a culture of change

Job Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 1-year construction experience
  • Must be fork truck and Boom lift Certified

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Some electrical and/or pneumatic experience is a plus.
  • Must be experienced with the safe operation of hand tools and power tools
  • Must follow all company safety rules and procedures at all times
  • Must be able to read both metric and standard tape measures
  • Must be able to understand basic drawings and prints
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Other

  • High School Diploma/ GED or relevant experience required
