Central Washington Justice for Our Neighbors (CWJFON) is a non-profit immigration law and justice organization serving immigrants east of the Cascades in Washington State. CWJFON provides free immigration-related legal services to individuals and families at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level. In addition to legal services, CWJFON organizes to build collective power within impacted communities and advocates for just immigration laws, policies, and practices that ensure dignity and provide a path forward. CWJFON is an affiliate of the Immigration Law & Justice Network, an association of 16 similar organizations throughout the country founded by the United Methodist Committee on Relief. CWJFON is committed to equity in all aspects of organizational life — including its relationships with impacted communities and clients, within the board of directors, among the staff, and among partner organizations.


The Executive Director is responsible for centering the organization on its mission while ensuring its financial health and operational integrity. The Executive Director is also responsible for ensuring that the organization is a trusted community partner. This is a hybrid role with required regional and national travel.

The ideal candidate is a visionary and collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in shepherding a developing non-profit organization to operationalize its mission, vision, and values. Strong candidates will have demonstrated skills in fundraising, financial management, and a passionate commitment to justice and equity. Additionally, candidates should have


  • Demonstrated competencies in strategic planning, board development, financial management, fundraising, staff leadership, and community organizing
  • Validated commitment to immigrant justice
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience serving in a leadership role in the nonprofit sector
  • Creativity in leading in environments where need outpaces resources
  • Excellence in communication within and outside of one's cultural experience
  • Practical experience in designing for equity and inclusion
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Proficiency in digital office technologies and social media platforms
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regionally and nationally
  • Reside in central or eastern Washington, or willingness to relocate
  • Pass a background check upon accepting an employment offer
